This policy explains what personal data WEB HOST PUNE Tools (tools.webhostpune.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. The service is run by WEB HOST PUNE, Pune, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us"). By creating an account you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form. If you sign in with Google we also receive your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture link.
  • Security and usage logs: IP address, browser and device information, and the time of sign-ups, sign-ins, sign-outs and failed sign-in attempts; your active sessions; and a record of actions in your account (for example creating a project, running a scan, exporting results, changing your password or email).
  • Content you add: project domains and names, logos you upload, the backlink URLs you submit, and the scan results we produce from them. Scan results contain information from third-party web pages, such as page titles, links, anchor text and robots or canonical tags.
  • Analytics: if analytics is active, Google Analytics records which pages are visited, with page addresses shortened to the path (search terms and other URL parameters are removed). It does not run on admin pages or on links that contain one-time codes.
  • Emails: the emails we send you (verification, password reset, security notices, invoices and plan reminders) and any messages you send us.
  • Ratings and reviews: the stars and comment you give us. After our review, your first name, last initial, rating and comment may be shown on our homepage. Ask us to remove them at any time.
  • Indexing requests: the links you send to Google indexing, the indexing results, and your indexing credit history.
  • Payment data: if you buy the Pro plan or indexing credits, the payment method (UPI or PayPal), the transaction ID and note you send us, the amount, and the invoices we issue (with your name and email). You pay in your own UPI or PayPal app; we never see or store card or bank account details.

2. Why we use it

  • To provide the service: your account, projects, backlink scans, monitoring and exports.
  • To keep the service secure and free of abuse: verifying email addresses, bot protection, limiting sign-ups per IP address, locking accounts after repeated failed sign-ins, and investigating misuse.
  • To send service emails you need, such as verification links, password resets and notices when your password or email changes.
  • To understand how the tools are used and improve them.
  • Marketing: to send you product updates, new tools and offers from WEB HOST PUNE. You can stop marketing emails at any time by replying to one or emailing info@webhostpune.com; service and security emails will continue while you have an account. We may also use anonymised, aggregated statistics (for example the total number of backlinks checked) in our own marketing. These never identify you or your projects.

3. Cookies and similar technology

  • Session cookie (whptools_session): keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. Required.
  • "Keep me logged in" cookie (remember_token): set only if you tick that box; lasts 30 days.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar): used only if analytics is active. Visitors in Europe (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland) are asked first, and nothing is sent to Google until they accept. Anyone can change their choice with the "Cookie settings" link in the page footer.
  • Browser storage: your analytics choice and an unsent list of URLs on the New scan page are kept in your browser only.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • Hostinger: website hosting and database.
  • Google: Google Sign-In, email delivery (Google Workspace / Gmail) and Google Analytics.
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile bot protection on sign-up, sign-in and password reset forms.
  • PayPal and UPI payment apps (such as Google Pay): only if you pay for Pro or indexing credits. They process your payment under their own privacy policies.
  • Moz: only if you use DA / PA / Spam Score (Pro). Moz receives the addresses (URLs) of the backlink pages, nothing about you.
  • Indexing services: the third-party services the WEB HOST PUNE Indexer works with, only if you send links to Google indexing or use the Google index check. They receive the page addresses (URLs) you send, nothing about you.

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the service. When you run a scan, our crawler WebHostPuneBot visits the URLs you submitted; those websites see a request from our servers, not your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account and project data: while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete it, with its projects and scans.
  • Accounts whose email is never verified are deleted automatically after 7 days.
  • Security logs: as long as needed for security, fraud prevention and legal purposes.
  • Invoices and payment records: kept even after your account is deleted, for as long as accounting and tax laws require.
  • Indexing requests and reports: while your account exists, deleted with it.
  • Public link facts: we keep the addresses of public web pages that were checked and their link facts (for example link type, status, indexability and authority scores), not who checked them, to improve our service. They contain no data about you, your projects, your target URLs or your anchor texts, and are kept after you delete a project or your account.
  • Copies in hosting backups may remain for a limited time after deletion.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and one-time codes, access controls and activity logs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for keeping your own copies of important data; see "Your data and backups" in the Terms of Service.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for users in Europe, the GDPR), you can ask us to: give you a summary of your personal data, correct or update it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing; withdraw your consent; and nominate someone to exercise your rights. You can correct your name, email and password yourself in My account. For anything else, email info@webhostpune.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

9. Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date and version at the top show the latest change. For important changes we will notify you by email or on the site. If you keep using the service after a change, the updated policy applies.
